| | Our Joint Venture, BTR Packaging Ltd, in Chennai, India has allowed us to maintain and develop high quality carrier bag business, particularly those bags that are normally imported. Roplast Industries is the exclusive selling arm for BTR in North America.
BTR started with one extruder and a ten color rotogravure press . A second extruder has been added in 2007 and an expansion plan is being prepared for 2008 to double the present capacity.
BTR concentrates on specialty bags, particularly those involving hand labor such as Draw Cord bags, Shoulder Tote bags, Square Bottom Merchandise bags. India has a cost advantage over China when handwork is required.
